AMD, shows us its Ryzen 9000, EPYC Turin and Ryzen AI 300 chips processors

These new processors are designed to run AI functions smoothly and with better performance.

Specifically, AMD has announced a new CPU, the EPYC Turin, a new line of desktop processors, the Ryzen 9000, and two new processors called Ryzen AI 300, which are designed to run on laptops with Copilot+, Microsoft’s suite of artificial intelligence tools.

The new Ryzen AI 300 series, which currently consists of two processors: the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 and Ryzen 9 AI 365, is one of the most interesting as it is designed for consumer computers. The Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 is a CPU consisting of 12 cores and 24 threads, as well as a Radeon 890M graphics core with 16CUs. The Ryzen 9 AI 365, on the other hand, has a CPU with 10 cores (4 Zen 5, 6 Zen 5C) and 20 threads, as well as a Radeon 880M graphics core with 12 CUs.

According to AMD, both processors are capable of outperforming the Snapdragon X Elite in terms of performance. Specifically, the company claims that the Ryzen AI 300 can run graphics tasks with 60% more power than the Qualcomm chip

In parallel, AMD has presented the new Ryzen 9000 processors, designed for desktop computers and notable for including the Zen 5 microarchitecture, which also allows artificial intelligence tasks to be executed more quickly and efficiently. The new series of processors is available in four versions.

The RYZEN 9600X is the most modest processor, with 6 cores and 12 threads that run at a frequency of up to 5.4 GHz; all with a 38 MB cache. The RYZEN 9950X, on the other hand, is the most powerful model, with 6 cores and 32 execution threads and up to 5.7 GHz frequency.

AMD tells us that the RYZEN 9600X is up to 56% more powerful in productivity tasks than its main competitor, the Intel Core i9 14900K, and 23% in gaming.

EPYC Turin CPU, which is manufactured in a 3-nanometer process and, as the company indicates, is up to 5.4 times faster than Intel’s current Xeon chips. The EPYC Turin CPU is available in two versions. On the one hand, the Zen 5, which has up to 128 cores. On the other hand, the Zen 5c, which has a total of 192 cores and 384 threads.
